Lucy’s has been in the laundry business since 1986 originating at the Huntington Beach location. The business is owned by husband and wife Gary Slizgi and Marty Darling. Gary originally from the Boston area attended Boston University and Duke University and was in the pharmaceutical drug development business for over 20 years. Marty Darling originally from Michigan attended the University of Miami and the University of Hawaii and was a nurse for over 20 years. Both have transitioned their careers to the laundry business. You will frequently find them at both business locations and are always available to help customers with their laundry needs. Today we are still locally owned and operated but are one of the largest full service residential and commercial laundry companies in Orange County providing a quality of service you would expect from a small company. We have self-service laundromats along with Fluff N Fold and Dry Cleaning services. At Lucy’s, we take pride in our work. We understand that each client has specific needs and we listen carefully to deliver a superior quality, white glove service. We separate ourselves from the rest with special touches such as separating men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, keeping bath towels separate from kitchen towels, pairing socks, and hanging certain items. We utilize custom mixed hypoallergenic, green detergents and WASH-DRY-FOLD your laundry in high tech state of the art computerized equipment. Your clothes will be treated with the utmost care and neatly folded and wrapped to prevent wrinkling. We then place your clothes in our custom designed laundry bags for delivery to your home, hotel, or business. Our hours of operation and pickup and delivery schedules are set for maximum convenience. We also service commercial accounts including, hotels, spas, gyms, medical/dental/chiropractic practices, and salons. Unlike linen companies, we charge by the pound not by the piece to bring more savings to you. Our self-serve laundromats are spacious, clean, and fully attended with lots of folding tables and Free WiFi as well as security cameras present for your safety.
